Twitter has started rolling two of the most often requested features from its users: group DMs and the ability to upload videos to its mobile apps.

With the latest version of the Twitter app, you will be able to directly shoot and upload videos of up to 30 seconds in length to Twitter. The videos will be embedded in your tweet and will not be played automatically. Instead, users can view them by simply tapping on their thumbnail once.

Twitter for iPhone users will be able to directly upload videos from their Camera Roll, while Android users will receive this feature in a future update.

Long time Twitter users will also be glad to know that they can now send Direct Messages (DM) to a group of up t0 20 persons at once for more private conversations. The members of your group message don’t necessarily need to follow each other to be able to send DMs to each other. The group DMs feature will be rolled out to Twitter users in the coming days.

It was only last week that Twitter had added a “While you were away” feature to the home timeline of its iOS app.
