Vodafone the company will use 2100Mhz 3G spectrum acquired in March 2015 auction. The telephone company has been giving high-speed data service in the state in partnership with idea Cellular, the country's third largest telephone company by subscribers.

Vodafone, the second largest mobile operator in Kerala, has declared roll out of 3G network in Kerala circle within next 3-6 months’ time. Vodafone bagged 3G license for Kerala and 4 other circles in March this year. it's already obtained license for giving superior 4G (Fourth Generation or long term Evolution) services.

With own 3G networks Vodafone will be in a higher position to compete with market leaders idea and BSNL. At the same time plan might free up its 3G network after Vodafone 3G subscribers move out. we expect the tariff to be same as current 3G tariff offered by Vodafone, however may introduce special offers to lure 3G customers to its network.
