Twitterrific 5 for iOS has gotten a nice new update that adds a number of new features as well as some welcome improvements. Users now have the ability to upload and view multiple images in one tweet, see animated GIFs in their timeline, and more.

Twitterrific is one of the best third-party Twitter clients on iOS, but it has long been lacking a couple of features that have proven extremely popular in rival apps like Tweetbot — such as the ability to upload more than one image at once.

Its latest update, which is available now from the App Store, finally allows you to do that. It also allows you to view up to four images embedded in one tweet, and you can swipe between them or tap their individual previews to access them directly.

GIF lovers will also be pleased to see that animated GIFs will now appear in their timelines, as will other rich media previews for a wide variety of links. You’ll also be able to watch videos from Vine, Instagram, Moby, and other services without leaving the Twitterrific app.

On top of all of this, there’s a whole host of improvements and bug fixes in this release — including an in-app Instagram viewer, the ability to open App Store links, and user interface optimizations inside the photo viewer.
