The telecom regulatory authority of India (TRAI) TRAI is watching the performance of service providers against the quality of service benchmarks for call drop.

Basic that means of call drop happens as a result of short coverage, poor signal quality, network congestion & network failures .Trai also will conduct periodical surveys of the service provided by the operators in order to securely guard the interest of the consumer’s deals with this telecommunication services.

As per the Performance watching Report submitted by the service providers for the quarter ending june 2012, TRAI has determined that the call drop rate benchmark is met by most the operators. within the case of parameter “% of worst affected cells having more than 3rd TCH drop (Call drop)” additionally most of the service suppliers are meeting the benchmark, as per TRAI. where deficiencies in meeting the benchmark are observed, the matter has been taken up with the service suppliers by TRAI for taking time-bound action to address the deficiency.
