Things, one of the more popular to-do apps found in the iOS App Store for the iPhone and iPad is in line to get an update soon that adds even more functionality.

The update is said to be rolling out soon, and the landing page for both the iPad and iPhone apps have been updated to show the update as being released on Thursday, January 15. With the update, which brings the version up to 2.6, Things has added a Notification Center widget into the mix. The widget will show you the current to-do objectives that are nestled within the Today section of the app, which should make getting those things done even easier.

Marking things as done can be handled from the widget, too, and as soon as the user opens the app again, it will be updated accordingly.

The update itself also fixes and squashes some bugs in the background, while improving performance at the same time. Both apps are available now through the App Store, with links to both below.
