The iPhone has become one of the most popular brands on the planet. Easily identifiable, and a product that incites lines ahead of a very public launch.According to a study put together by Chitika Insights, the iPhone’s popularity is indeed quite strong, but there are some states where the iPhone is far more prevalent than others. At least, based on their results, which were determined from iPhone usage rates correlated through December 25 and December 31. The study sifted through “hundreds of millions” of iPhone ad impressions to determine the below numbers.
The results show that the iPhone is most popular in states including Alaska, Montana, Kansas, Mississippi, Vermont, and New York. Chitika puts their usage at anywhere between 55 and 65 percent.
At the lowest of the usage ladder are Arizona, Iowa, Wisconsin, Texas, New Mexico and others. Their usage patterns fall somewhere between 40 and 44 percent, according to the study. The study indicates that the lowest state out of all of them was New Mexico.
The report goes further to indicate that these numbers did not show a connection between iPhone usage and geography, or raw population numbers. However, the numbers did seem to indicate a correlation between education level and population density. As a result, in states where the population density is quite high, and there tend to be higher education levels, the iPhone usage tracked well.
