According to a survey conducted by 451 Research, the demand for the new iPhones will continue to remain high in the first quarter of 2015, even though demand for Samsung’s devices will increase.

The survey results indicate that 56% of the respondents will buy an iPhone who plan to buy an iPhone within the next 90 days. This is the highest demand that 451 Research has ever seen for an iPhone three months after their release.

The survey results also indicate that the demand for phones with larger screens are increasing with nearly 60% of the respondent planning on buying a handset with a screen size that is greater than 5-inches. This is a jump of 7 percent since the last survey conducted by 451 Research in September and a growth of 15 percent since the same time last year.

However, Samsung continues to lead in this department with 66% of the respondents planning on buying a phablet from the Korean giant. Samsung also saw an overall growth with 18% of the respondents planning on buying a device from the company over the next 3 months.

The survey was conducted in December and surveyed 4,126 North American residents and enquired about their smartphone and phablet buying plans for the upcoming 90 days.
