While Apple Pay has already seen adoption from plenty of the biggest name brands in the world, some have lagged a bit behind. Finally, for Starbucks goers, the iOS app can finally make paying for your next latte even easier.

The wait for Starbuck’s addition into the official list of Apple Pay supported apps has been exacerbated by the fact the company was announced as a launch partner for the mobile payments system when Pay was first introduced, but for those who have been waiting to use Pay with the Starbucks app on their iPhone, the wait is finally over.

However, there is still a bit of a limitation with the usage of Apple Pay within the app. Starbucks does not support Apple Pay as a checkout method inside its brick-and-mortar locations just yet, so Apple Pay can only be used to refill a Starbucks gift card within the app on an iPhone. That gift card can then have its digital barcode scanned by a Starbucks barista once a purchase has been made.

Essentially, with Apple Pay and Touch ID, adding funds to the digital Starbucks gift card saved to an account within the app is now much easier, as the card on file with Apple Pay can be used automatically to add funds.
