Despite being made of aluminium and being so thin, Apple’s MacBook Air are well made laptops that can take a beating. A pilot on Reddit, however, took things a bit too far as his MacBook Air fell from his plan, which was flying at nearly 200km/h at an altitude of 1000ft above ground level.

While the Air did suffer some serious damage from its fall, which includes a shattered glass trackpad, damaged cooling fans and a bent unibody, it still works just fine. More surprisingly though, the display on the Air is still intact from the fall without a hint of any crack.

The Air was in Redditor av80r’s bag, which also contained his ID, pilot license and other documents related to his identity. It was found by Malopo, a farmer, who contacted him via Facebook to return the items. Surprisingly though, av80r is not going to buy another MacBook Air and is instead planning on buying a Windows 10 based PC.
