We continue to see Cydia developers coming up with new ways to use Reachability. OnTapMusic is a new Reachability tweak that gives you quick access to music controls on your iPhone via Reachability.

The tweak lets you control the music via the Reachability view using swipe gestures. If you invoke Reachability while a song is playing on your iPhone, it will display its album artwork along with the title and artist name.

To control the song, you can use the following swipe gestures:

  • Swipe to the left or right side of Reachability view to go to the previous or the next song.
  • Double tap on the Reachability view to play/pause the song.
  • Swipe up to enable repeat mode.
  • Swipe down to shuffle tracks.

If you enable repeat or shuffle mode, a text will be displayed at the bottom of the Reachability view indicating that it has been turned on. As you might be thinking by now, the tweak works with devices which support Reachability such as the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus. However, you can still use this tweak on older models of iPhone if you install a tweak such as ReachAll which enables Reachability.

OnTapMusic

Once you install OnTapMusic, it comes with a dedicated preferences pane in the stock Settings app. From there, you can enable or disable the tweak on demand, invert the swipe gestures, adjust the corner radius of the album art as well as make the music labels such as the song name transparent.

That’s all the tweak offers and if you’ve been looking to put the Reachability view to a better use, look no further than OnTapMusic. The only difference between this and Control Center is that the latter doesn’t provide repeat and shuffle toggles.

To install OnTapMusic, you’ll have to add the following new source to Cydia: http://repo.cpdigitaldarkroom.com/ . Once done, simply search for the tweak and install it.
