Now it\'s virtually clear that, the CDMA operator MTS with over sixteen million active customers has set to not bid in the coming Spectrum auction. Conjointly news are spreading that they need cut down their infra structure in several of the circles. As per the court order all 122 licenses can get cancelled with impact from Jan 2013.
Whatever the case, once this news spread across to the trade also on the customers; they\'ll be in great dilemma whether to sell this product / whether to buy this product. MTS is got 1.7 million data customers out of this total of sixteen million. Their data product is well acceptable among customers due to their product quality and sensible services.
It is known that Aircels promoters Maxis Communications Bhd need to exit the corporate and Sistema is trying to continue its business. an Economic Times report in September had said Sistema would invest Aircels parent company based mostly overseas with rights to own the Indian arm transferred to that once an ongoing restructuring method is completed. Sistema Shyam, however, has said that it\'s no plans of acquiring any telecommunication service provider.
Not like GSM connections, a CDMA client has to pay reasonably good amount to get a connection together with mobile. For data customer it\'s over that. Therefore a client going to buy this connection can think twice whether to buy this or not as there\'s only 2 more months to urge their operator license cancelled and subsequently they\'re no longer be able to use their connections.
By taking this chance other operators are planning to scale up their operations to extend their counter share as one of the main CDMA operators is moving out from market.
In the same time MTS has submitted a curative petition in court and they hope court can return all their Indian licenses.
