Microsoft has silently launched its social network So.Cl, that has been in personal beta since December 2011. The location is currently out of beta and is obtainable to all or any users. So.cl, pronounced "social", is an experimental analysis project, developed by Microsoft's FUSE Labs, centered on exploring the chances of social look for the aim of learning.
So.cl combines social networking and search, to assist folks realize and share attention-grabbing websites within the means students do once they work along. To encourage interaction and collaboration, So.cl provides wealthy media sharing, and real time sharing of videos via "video parties."
"We expect students to continue using product like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and alternative existing social networks, also as Bing, Google and alternative search tools," said Microsoft in its FAQ section, adding, "We hope to encourage students to reimagine how our everyday communication and learning tools is improved, by researching, learning and sharing in their everyday lives."
