Indian based handset manufacture Lava Mobiles is to launch two more Intel-based Android smartphones in India. . A senior executive of the company told this to The Mobile Indian after launching Lava's first Intel Atom processor based Xolo 900 which also happens to be the first smartphone with the said processor to be launched in India. Lava will adding an entry level Android phone priced around Rs. 10,000, while another one will be a mid range smartphone priced roughly Rs. 15,000.

Lava International on Thursday launched the Xolo 900 smartphone Priced at Rs. 22,000, with Android 2.3 operating system, running on Intel's 1.6 Ghz Atom processor.Besides the much-hyped Intel chip, the Xolo 900 sports a 4.03-inch touchscreen display with display with 1024×600 pixels resolution (295 ppi), Near Field Communication (NFC) capabilities, and micro-HDMI. Intel's Atom Z2460 SoC comes with PowerVR SGX540 GPU clocked at 400MHz.

The Lava Xolo X900 comes with a an 8MP and a 1.3MP front facing camera. The built-in storage will be 16GB, with microSD card support up to 32GB. The handset also has 1GB of RAM ( 32-bit Dual channel LPDDR2).

"Our first offing in the Xolo series is Xolo 900 and in the coming months we will adding one entry level Android phone that will be around Rs 10,000 and a mid-range smartphone that will be in price range of Rs 15,000." Sunil Raina, business head - Xolo, Lava International is quoted as saying.
