Google has been busy with its apps as of recent, including a major update to its Translation app for mobile devices, and even a brand new mobile app for the Classroom.
That continues for the Google Drive Mac app, as announced via an official announcement made on Wednesday, January 14. The new update is now rolling out, and should be rolling out for the rest of the week for those who have it installed on their machines. With the newest version, users will notice a more visually rich status menu, which will let them keep better track of their sync status. That means users will also be able to keep better track of files that have already been synced, while keeping tabs on the files that have yet to be synced and those that are currently undergoing the syncing process.
Hovering over an item that has recently been synced to Drive will actually now pop up a new menu, which will let the user easily share that file.
What’s more, the newest update now provides bandwidth controls that will let the user choose how much of it Drive takes up while syncing files, just in case some more bandwidth is needed for something else at the time.
