There are various jailbreak tweaks that allow you to customize the stock Clock app but they are very limited, as in you can only remove the seconds, hours or the minutes hand from the app icon. Circulate is a unique jailbreak tweak that debuted on Cydia recently and allows you to theme the Clock app icon.

The tweak allows you to apply various different animation styles to the app icon. It features over four different themes including circular, bar, solar and hex theme, each of which allow you to determine the time in a different way.

Once you install Circulate, you’ll find a bunch of customization options in the tweak’s preferences, which gives you a complete control over how you want the Clock icon to look like. From there, you can choose from one of the four themes that the tweak offers, change the color of the seconds, minutes or hour as well as customize the background color of the app icon.

Each theme has different customization options. For instance, with the Rising Bars theme, the options will change to include the colors of the three bars.

Just in case you mess up the configurations, you can simply press the reset button below the pane to switch back to the default settings, an option that I wished every customization tweak had.

The best part of Circulate is that it doesn’t require a respring for the changes to take place . Once you’re done customizing, you’ll notice that the app icon changes right away. This is one of the selling points of the tweak.

However, the only time that you’ll have to restart your device is when you disable the tweak, so that the app icon can return to its original look.

If you’ve always wanted to customize the look of the Clock app icon, Circulate is a great option. It is available on Cydia’s BigBoss repository for mere price of $0.99.
