In the starting of 2015, Lenovo launched a budget 'Exclusive for India' smartphone at the CES, 2015. Following the launch, Lenovo tasted overnight success for providing the cheapest 4G smartphone with tight specifications. Asus is now all-set for a global launch of its new Zenfone in India. The launch can happen as early as August and is predicted to be related to the Zenfone Go that already rumoured as an inferior version of the Zenfone a pair of.
The company sent a teaser mail to selected media retailers which read: "ASUS to announce a brand new product in India; the primary ever global launch in the country! Expected in August, this launch can bring in further grandeur to one of our existing product lines."
Asus is yet to discovered details concerning the smartphone that will be globally launched in india next month. However, considering some recent reports, it's expected to be the Zenfone Go ZC500TG. Further, Asus is rumoured to have provided an 8-megapixel rear camera sensor, 2-megapixel front camera sensor and android Lollipop OS on the Zenfone Go.
Asus launched the Zenfone 2 in india back in april with a starting value of Rs. 12,999. The smartphone comes in about four variants and the highest variant has 4GB of RAM.
Market research by numerous companies have said that more than two-thirds of Indian customers look for a smartphone priced below Rs. 10,000, an element that has defined the success of Lenovo, Xiaomi and InFocus.
