TestFlight has become a standard for beta testing iOS apps, and while the legacy unit has been shutdown, moving forward sees a nice big future for the beta testing platform.
On Thursday, February 12, following the announcement that apps have been bumped up from 2GB to 4GB in their size limitations for submission
, Apple also unveiled something called “TestFlight Groups.” As one can imagine from the title, it’s all about working with beta testers that have been put within specific groups, which Apple says will make it easier for app developers to send out specific builds and more to a certain number of individuals.
“Now it’s easier than ever to manage external testers in TestFlight. Organize your testers into groups to quickly send specific builds, provide separate instructions on where to focus, and apply an action to several testers at once in TestFlight.“
