Apple has added a new category on iTunes called “Free on iTunes” where it is providing selected singles and full-length TV episodes for download for free. The new category comes a couple of weeks after Apple removed its “iTunes Single of the Week” promotional program from the iTunes store without any explaination.

As of now, the new category from Apple includes free singles like “Been Waitin,” “Feel the Volume,” “Face the Fire,” “Now We Die,” and more. For TV shows, Apple is offering free episodes of K3U, The Runaway Doctor, Journey to the Frozen Planet, Splinter, Alex and more.

For now, it looks like Apple has only introduced the “Free on iTunes” category in the United States iTunes Store.
