At the beginning of January, Apple officially added eight new banks into the Apple Pay fold, but it appears the company was not quite done.As revealed in a report published by 9to5Mac, Apple has officially added an additional 15 new banks and credit unions into the official list of entities that support Apple Pay. With a double-dose of additions in January, that means 23 new banking options were added to Apple Pay support in the month.

With these new additions, Apple now has more than 45 banks and credit unions as part of the Apple Pay program. As it stands, there are more than 200 signed up for support in the United States. Apple Pay is rumored to be launching in Canada as early as March, with support in the United Kingdom also believed to be launching sometime in the early part of 2015.
